What is Brickstone?
Brickstone is a new contemporary senior living option that is distinctly different from others in Rochester. Designed on the principles of new urbanism, Brickstone invites you to embrace a lifestyle that blends the best of urban and suburban living. Brickstone offers a natural connectedness for today's active senior that is often missing from "gated" retirement communities. Plans for Brickstone's 30 acres include housing choices with a la carte services, a pedestrian network surrounded by the beauty of wetlands and ponds, and the convenience of on-site retailers. Brickstone's Village Square featuring shops, restaurants and meeting spaces open to the greater community, will become a vital hub of activity, fostering relationships amongst residents and the surrounding neighborhood.
How many residences will it include?
When completed, Brickstone will offer 102 choices of one and two story living options - 40 apartments, 9 townhomes and 53 bungalows. Brickstone's interiors include upscale design features and finishes, which are often extras in other senior living communities.
What "green" initiatives are in place at Brickstone?
We have considered environmental measures throughout the design and development process for Brickstone. We will implement sustainable design and Energy Star features where possible.
When will it be ready?
Bungalows will be ready in the Spring of 2012. Apartments and Townhouses will be ready first quarter of 2013. Reservations are underway with just 7 charter benefit packages left available, making the commitment completely risk free! Early sign-on also offers you an opportunity to customize your new home with beautiful interiors at no additional expense. You may personalize your new home by selecting from our four designer packages. Our community is filling quickly, so we encourage you to make an appointment as soon as possible.
How was it named?
The Town of Brighton, in which Brickstone will be located, once had a vibrant brick making industry. The name was selected with input from potential and current St. John's residents, staff and members of the Brighton community.
